Job description
We’re looking for an ambitious and talented Social Media Manager to join our growing digital team. The right candidate is someone who loves everything about social and is passionate about developing campaigns and content that drive exceptional results across a range of clients.
The role is focussed on managing and growing social accounts including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and TikTok for both B2C and B2B brands. We have a broad portfolio of clients spanning interiors, design, consumer, industrial safety and technology.
We require someone with circa 3 years’ experience in a similar agency role, with experience in organic and paid social media, influencer management and content marketing. It is important this person can think creatively and develop new ideas with the team, whilst also being confident and comfortable handling data to interpret metrics.
This person will be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills as well as expert client management, with a keen eye for detail. Experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously to manage workload and delegate effectively is a key part of the role, as is adapting to both small and large businesses.
We require someone with an excellent understanding of social media channels and how they complement wider communications. Whilst not essential, someone with a good understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics would be highly desirable.
Skills & experience required
Account Management
- Work with the Digital Team to plan and execute always on social media and campaigns across organic and paid social, influencers, UGC and content marketing.
- Create content for all social channels including long and short form content, blogs, ads etc.
- Management of clients’ multiple social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn etc. This will include strategy, content development, execution, community management / engagement and reporting.
- Plan and execute paid social campaigns across multiple channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc
- Responsible for leading on client communication for your portfolio of clients
- Offer excellent end to end client service, from objective setting, campaign set up, delivery and regular reporting
- Position yourself as a social media expert internally and externally across a range of products and services
- Spot opportunities for growth across existing client base
- Strong understanding of the social media landscape
- Maintain and build strong relationships with media and influencers
- Graphic design basics, familiarity with tools like Canva and Adobe Photoshop for creating engaging visuals are not essential but desirable
- Ability to use analytics tools (e.g. GA4, native social platform analytics, and third-party tools) to measure and interpret performance metrics
New Business and Marketing
- Participate proactively in pitches, supporting on research, pitch strategy and development as well as being involved in pitching to potential clients.
Internal People Management
- Work in a collaborative way with team members
- If you do have staff reporting into you, take ownership for their career development and reviews as in line with company policy.
- Take an active role in coaching any junior staff and providing motivation and leadership.
