The people

  • Quooker is the leading boiling water tap manufacturer and sector creator, delivering a world-class product and exceptional customer service to millions of households worldwide.
  • To launch the Quooker CUBE, an accessory that provides sparkling water on demand from any of its taps, our team understood the importance of going to market with a high-impact, multifaceted campaign. As Quooker was the first brand to bring this technology to market, we knew nothing but a comprehensive launch plan that spanned all touchpoints would do.
  • Working with in-house marketing teams, we tasked ourselves with creating a comprehensive launch plan across press, digital, social, advertising and broadcast, targeting the end consumer but also helping educate its dealer network nationwide.

The power

We created a robust media plan that targeted consumers and industry professionals alike:

  • Education: This required press education around the sustainability benefits this new technology provided compared to single-use plastic, executed through detailed press launch packs for consumers and Quooker’s dealer network.
  • Thought leadership: We secured extensive numbers of media interviews and opinion pieces with Quooker’s MD on the company’s product diversification and technological prowess in the sector.
    Stunts: To showcase the single-use plastic wasted by the average UK household each year, we commissioned an interactive stunt at a leading KBB trade show to drive awareness amongst the industry.
  • Editorial and advertorial: We utilised tactical media spend to leverage editorial coverage, driving product placement, brand features, profiles and broadcast.

The impact

  • Quooker CUBE (alongside the secondary launch of CUBE 2.0 released a year later) was featured in over 250 publications across consumer and trade publications, resulting in a combined circulation/MUU of over 110 million. 
  • This product continues to get coverage today and combined PR and marketing activity has resulted in over 70% of sales now including a CUBE as part of their order.
