Speedy Hire appoints Houston PR

The UK’s leading provider of power tool, equipment and plant hire services, Speedy Hire, has appointed communications agency, Houston, to drive a creative trade communications strategy alongside the company’s ambitious sustainable growth strategy ‘Velocity’ and its industry-leading ESG commitments.

Houston will be supporting with strategic communications supporting the Velocity strategy, where Speedy Hire is focused on continuously innovating to deliver commercially sustainable specialist products and solutions for customers to meet their carbon reduction targets, driving revenue through its core hire service provision, and growing share of the trade and retail market.

Speedy Hire holds a leadership position as the first company in the hire sector to publicly sign up to science-based net-zero targets. Speedy Hire’s ESG strategy: ‘Decade to Deliver’, captures its ambitious goals to reach net zero by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Government deadline. The ‘Decade to Deliver’ strategy aims to drive a ‘hire revolution’ through promoting the inherently sustainable and circular mode of hire to the masses and make it even more sustainable through collaboration with partners and investing in innovation to decarbonise the industries Speedy Hire supports. Underpinned by its People First programme, the strategy also includes clear commitments to developing its people and talent in the industry, and improving the safety and wellbeing of its people, customers and communities.

Embracing technology through digital innovation and with expanding AI capabilities to enable better decision-making, Speedy Hire is also improving its customer experience from point of enquiry through to delivery.

Houston’s communications activity will focus on all aspects of Speedy Hire’s growth strategy in its core markets.
